Like many of you, I’m first and foremost a dog lover who just wants the best for my furry friends. When my partner and I moved to Australia, we brought along our beloved dog and cat. They spent a month in quarantine, and when we finally brought them home, our sweet Beagle began showing signs of separation anxiety.
We started researching and reading everything we could about dogs and behaviour. One article really struck us — it said that dogs can spend up to half an hour howling, barking, or whining after their owners leave, and that many pets spend almost half their lives waiting for their humans to come home. That thought broke my heart. I realised that my best friend — the most social animal on earth — was spending most of her day feeling lonely.
That’s when I decided to start dog walking. I wanted to give her what she truly needed — socialisation, exercise, and companionship — to bring back that bright sparkle in her eyes and make her feel like a happy pup again. What began as a simple way to help my own dog soon grew into something much bigger — the heart and inspiration behind Happy Pups Dog Walking Services.
Now, at Happy Pups Dog Walking Services in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, that same passion drives everything we do. We help dogs stay happy, active, and social while their owners are busy at work — ensuring every pup enjoys their day, not just waits for it to end.
